We have a new addition to our family...

So, my kids really want a dog. They have been asking a lot lately. I am just not ready to take on a puppy. I want to be done with kids first and I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. I still wipe Sawyers bum, I can't put Ava in a kennel, and Colton is starting to bark a lot lately. Don't get me wrong I love my kids. I just feel like I already have three little puppies. This weekend Jason took the kids to a Reptile show. I like reptiles. I can do reptiles. So in order to pacify my three little puppies, we got a new Bearded Dragon. He stays in a cage, he cant bark or talk, his poop is little and hard, he eats just lettuce, and most importantly he makes my puppies happy.

We still have Rex a Silcatta turtle and Velven a Uromastics. They make such great and easy pets. I love them for that. I really love them for that!

I have to say Jason outdid himself this year. I think this is my favorite Valentines present ever. My very own pink DS! He also got me two really fun games. I know what you might be thinking. An adult woman with three kids? Go ahead judge me, I don't care. I love video games!!!!

The only problem is so does Sawyer.

The other day I was hanging out in bed on a Sunday afternoon. Maybe playing the DS. Maybe reading. Not important. That is where we should all be on Sundays. Anyway, I could hear Jason in the kitchen. I love it when Jason is in the kitchen. Except when he gets every knob in the kitchen slimy. Anyway, a few minutes later he came in and delivered this.

Who's husband does that? MINE! I love you Jas!

Cannon Beach

Yesterday we skipped school, work and all my important daily activities and headed to the beach. I heard it was suppose to be a beautiful day on the Oregon coast. This is very rare, and a treat. A treat it was. A big treat being that it is February. We had a wonderful time. The kids ran, and played all day. They played in the water, found a starfish, and had a contest to see who could dig the deepest hole. I laid on a blanket with the sun shining on my face. My absolute favorite thing to do!!! I could actually feel the vitamin D seeping into my skin. I so needed it!

Then the Baileys came and it got even more fun.

Then it got cold. We considered ourselves very lucky for having such a great day on the Oregon coast. We packed up our sand toys, and waved goodbye.

Then we went to Fudruckers. Yummy!

Today Colton came home from school, and like everyday Sawyer was very excited. He was screaming and running around being very silly. Colton looked at Sawyer with love in his eyes and said, "Sawyer do you want to go lay down and snuggle?" That is when I ran and grabbed my camera. When I came back this is what I saw.

I am so grateful for Colton and Sawyers relationship. They take care of each other and really love each other. I hope it will always be this way.

I love this boy. I love every crease, roll, line, and crack this kid has. I wish his little body would stay little forever. He is quickly getting longer and more boyish, less babyish. He is also quickly getting more and more independent. Today I took Ava to a friends house to play. Sawyer thinks that he gets to do everything his older siblings do. He was very upset that he was not included in this play date. He screamed and cried the whole way home, which he doesn't do very often because he is such a great kid. Anyway, I couldn't get him out of the car and into the house with me. I suggested we go in and read a book together, we could go in and have a rice krispie treat, he could watch Lighting McQueen, Thomas the Train, etc., etc. Nothing was working, he just kept screaming, "NO! Friends house." Then I remembered his favorite thing to do lately. I said, "Sawyer do you want to go in and watch snowmobiling on You Tube?" He looked up at me, with the biggest grin on his face. He then happily climbed out of the car and said, "yeah momma. I coming. Snowmobiling." I love this boy. I wish he could stay my baby forever!

I know I just did a post on our 4-wheeling trip to Sand Lake, but we went again this weekend. I had to post this picture of Colton. He is getting good and downright cocky. He is doing tricks. This is his favorite. A leg in the air. We had another great day. Notice the blue sky. It was so pretty and warm.

Sawyer played in the sand, polished off an entire bag of cheetos. and would occasionally stand up and say, "my turn 4 wheeler."

Ava drove all around. She is getting very good. (great posture Jason)

Sand Lake

Colton drove Ava around on his little 4 wheeler. It was getting dark so Ava held the flashlight. It was really cute. They could have rode forever.

I think our family is officially white T. We are all addicted to 4 wheeling. Thanks to uncle Jordan and Jason we were warm and with shelter. They set up a big tent with a bed and heater inside. The kids just rode 4 wheelers, played in the sand, and snacked on crackers the whole day. Does it get any better than that?

My new, great friend Tara Edwards invited me to the Blazer game. In the short time that I have known Tara, she doesn't seem to do things like the normal mom of four. I'm pretty sure what she gets done in one hour, I accomplish in one week. Anyway, we went to the Blazer game Tara style. With signs, jerseys, and the best seats I've ever had. Thanks to her energy, we got our picture taken, could be seen on the jumbo-tron several times, and I am pretty sure we were on TV. Oh, and we almost caught a t-shirt. Twice. We had a great time!

I think we have an animal lover on our hands!

This is my Ava. These pictures say it all. She is a happy, beautiful little girl that loves every creature. Big or small. Her favorite channel to watch is Animal Planet, she will not eat meat, she asks for a dog everyday, and she even loves her uncle Jordans alligator.

I know if my Mom dug deep into old photos she would find similar pictures of me with animals as a little girl. I have passed on the animal lover gene to my special Ava. That's OK. Bring on the poop and hair I can handle it. For her!

Ringing in the new year!

We started 2009 out with a little, no a lot of Guitar Hero. Colton is a true rock star! Even Grandma and Grandpa joined in on the fun.

Mandi has the wide stance, but she still can't beat me. We had a great weekend with the Crockett family. I hope this year is filled with family, friends, fun, and a lot more Guitar Hero.
